Before Scott enrolled at Niagara College, he spent close to three years traveling, eating, drinking wine, and cooking in kitchens on almost every continent around the world. From Peterborough, Ontario, he always loved good food, wine and beer. It seemed only natural for Scott to attend Niagara College’s Canadian Food and Wine Institute with its farm-to-table approach and on-campus winery, brewery, greenhouse. Scott is a graduate of the Culinary Management program (2013) as well as a graduate of the College’s Culinary Innovation and Food Technology program (2015).
He currently lives in Toronto and works as a food stylist for THP Agency.
“Being a part of this team is not without challenges. The key seems to be a balance of work, school and the Olympics. This leaves very little time for a personal life but it’s a sacrifice one must make in pursuit of culinary perfection. Winning the Junior Culinary Team Canada title was one of the most amazing feelings I have ever experienced. It was an overwhelming feeling of gratification that is impossible to describe. I have always been very proud to be Canadian. The opportunity to represent my country at the highest level is the greatest honour.”
