Carly was born in Oshawa, Ontario and began her career by studying Culinary Management at Niagara College. She graduated from the program in June 2016.
From the first time she walked into the College’s Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus, she knew the Canadian Food and Wine Institute would provide her with the best possible culinary education. She became involved with extracurricular activities and landed a job at Benchmark, the on-campus teaching restaurant. Between work, college and events, Carly spent almost every moment on campus and thoroughly enjoyed it. Her dedication was apparent to the coaches of Junior Culinary Team Canada, and she was scouted to be one of the two latest additions to the team in 2015 after competing in a black box competition. “My motivation has been my love for the industry as well as working with incredible chefs from all around Canada and the world,” she says. “I also enjoy the high quality of product we get to work with on a daily basis.”
Carly currently resides in Toronto.
“One of the most important things I have learned about myself is my passion for my trade and for my country. The culinary world is forever evolving. Junior Culinary Team Canada is my motivation to absorb any and all information I can. I am beyond grateful, and I will continue on this fast track to make my team members and my country proud.”
